Guild is growing! Our new Crisis and Recovery Center will be opening this fall and will bring inpatient residential mental health services to Scott County for the first time! This is a monumental opening and we are so excited to offer our much-needed services to another Minnesota community.
This project is a partnership between Guild, the City of Savage, Scott County, the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Shaw-Lundquist Associates Inc., and UrbanWorks Architecture LLC. We are so grateful to all of our partners for helping us bring Guild’s high-quality and person-centered Crisis Stabilization and Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) to the southwest metro.

All About Our New Facility
You may be familiar with Guild South, our South St. Paul-based IRTS and Crisis program. These will be the same innovative services we bring to Guild’s Crisis and Recovery Center in Savage.
Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) is a residential service that helps individuals stabilize their mental or chemical health. Clients can stay for up to 90 days to get help managing their symptoms.
Our Intensive Residential Treatment Services help individuals:
- Create a treatment and recovery plan based on your needs and goals.
- Develop symptom management and coping skills.
- Understand and maintain an effective medication program.
- Build living skills, including budgeting, cooking, transportation, stress management, and more.
Crisis Stabilization is a residential service that helps those who are in a mental health crisis get immediate care. It provides a safe place to go where individuals can focus on regaining stability. Clients typically stay for up to ten days.
Our Crisis Stabilization Services help:
- Meet immediate needs for food, clothing, and medical care.
- Stabilize symptoms by coordinating medication management and psychoeducation.
- Maintain safety and sobriety by offering 24/7 supervision and one-to-one support.
- Create an individualized treatment and recovery plan based on your needs and goals.
- Coordinate with existing service providers and secure new resources.
- Create a safe and fulfilling discharge plan for after leaving Crisis Stabilization.
Our residential services have been around since Guild’s early days in the 90s and have helped thousands of clients overcome mental health challenges and crises. These services are essential to every community because they help individuals heal and thrive within community life. Those who receive crisis services are often able to avoid hospitalization and prevent further detrimental emotional spirals. Our services echo our beliefs–that we all do better when we all do better. Because of this, we are so excited to bring our lifesaving services to Scott County.
What Will the New Site Be Like?
The Guild Crisis and Recovery Center will be located in the historic downtown Savage in a friendly residential and retail area. Close to many restaurants, businesses, and housing, it’s seamlessly incorporated into the Savage community.
The future courtyard.
A 16-bed site with individual rooms for clients, the facility aims to cater to clients’ needs and wellbeing. Comfort and stability are at the heart of the site. We strive to make each and every person who receives services feel safe, empowered, and comfortable. The new facility has a spacious dining room where clients and staff can connect, large group rooms, therapy spaces, and office space for staff. Laundry services, a kitchen, and a sizable outdoor space will be available for clients to use as well.
