Advocate for Proven Supportive Programs in Minnesota
Advocacy is our North Star — the tool that will truly unlock our mission of helping our clients lead stable, fulfilling lives in their chosen community. We need you more than ever to sustain our work. Help support our lifesaving services during the 2025 legislative session!
July 2025 Updates
- On Tuesday, July 1, the U.S. Senate narrowly passed a budget that includes the largest cuts to Medicaid in the program’s history. The budget is now back with the U.S. House of Representatives with a goal to have it finalized by Friday, July 4. However, a vote could happen as early as Wednesday, July 2.
- One in four Minnesotans is on Medicaid, including almost all of the people we serve at Guild. If passed by the House, this budget will slash federal funding for providers, create new barriers to care for our most vulnerable residents, and deepen workforce shortages, severely limiting access to essential services.
How You Can Help
- We urgently ask you to act now to save Medicaid in Minnesota! Please email or call your House representative ASAP and urge them to reject these budget cuts and safeguard access to care for all Minnesotans.
- If you already know which district you live in, you can find your rep’s contact information here. If you don’t, you can look up who represents you here by inputting your address. We’ve provided email and phone scripts to help get you started.

The Mental Health Legislative Network (MHLN) 2025 Agenda
Guild is a proud member of the Mental Health Legislative Network (MHLN): a broad coalition that advocates for a statewide mental health system that is of high quality, accessible, and has stable funding. The organizations in the MHLN all work together to create visibility on mental health issues, act as a clearinghouse on public policy issues, and pool our knowledge, resources, and strengths to create change.
As part of our work together, we’ve developed a complete 2025 legislative agenda—the “Blue Book”—which guides our collective priorities. It includes helpful information such as issue descriptions, background information, and specific policy recommendations for each priority area that can be used to increase your personal knowledge of the issues, and equip you with important information when speaking with your legislators.
