Alex is an Informatics Specialist on the Quality Improvement team.
Q: Describe a typical day as an Informatics Specialist.
A: In my role and as part of the Quality Improvement team, I support Credible, the Guild EHR system (Electronic Health Record) related inquiries, issues, and projects. I give support to all Guild teams and empower them to do their work. My portion is typically to monitor the Business Intelligence (BI) tool in Credible. There are daily issues to deal with in addition to projects that span over time.
Q: How did your career path lead you to your current position at Guild?
A: I always loved helping people and supporting them while being behind the scenes. I always looked for ways to improve, and challenges motivate me. Guild offered me such an environment.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job?
A: The satisfaction of a colleague when a solution is found, an issue resolved, a mystery solved, empowerment happened, the system is working as designed; that is my enjoyment!
Q: What is something you’ve learned throughout your time at Guild?
A: I have a dedicated and very supportive team; and a very knowledgeable, brilliant, and well-organized boss.
Q: Why is the Quality Improvement department important?
A: The Quality Improvement team is a key department because we administer the engine that empowers all the work we do at Guild: the Electronic Health Record Credible. From tracking interactions with clients, to presenting the outcomes internally and externally, to encapsulating all billing transactions seamlessly, Credible is at the center of all these, and our team is entrusted with its well-being.
Q: What do you do in your free time?
A: I spend my free time with my family and being involved as much in my church activities.
