Planned Giving:
Leave a Legacy of Care
A simple, flexible, and meaningful way to ensure Guild can continue providing high-quality, innovative services and provide person-centered care well into the future is through a gift in your will or estate.
When you include Guild in your will, you can leave a legacy that reflects your values of helping others. Making a gift can be as simple as naming Guild as a beneficiary in your will or may require more complex planning in partnership with your advisors.
We always recommend consulting with your financial, legal, and tax advisors as part of the decision process. Guild cannot provide legal or financial advice.

Uncover the giving option that works best for your specific financial and estate goals. Legacy gifts not only provide critical support for Guild’s programs but are also among the most tax-wise ways to make a lasting impact.
Bequests
A simple and popular method to leave a legacy. Make a cash gift to Guild in your will or living trust by specifying an amount or percentage of your estate.
Life Insurance
Whole life, universal, and other forms of permanent life insurance can provide an important gift. You can contribute all or part of a policy by naming Guild as a primary or contingent beneficiary.
Retirement Plans
Name Guild as a primary or contingent beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or other retirement plan. Gifting these assets can be highly tax-wise, as they may incur considerable taxation to heirs upon distribution.
Charitable Gift Annuities
For an irrevocable gift of $10,000 or more (cash/securities), you receive a guaranteed fixed income for life. The remainder supports Guild’s mission. Annuities may also be set up for a loved one.
Charitable Remainder Trusts
Established with an attorney, this irrevocable trust pays income to beneficiaries for life or a term up to 20 years. The remainder is then distributed to Guild, offering significant income and estate tax advantages.
Real Estate
Guild welcomes gifts of real estate (residence, farm, commercial property, or undeveloped land) valued at $250K and over. Guild’s policy is generally to sell gifted property. A Guild representative must inspect the property prior to acceptance.
