What is the Goal of the Ladder of Hope Events?
We amplify the incredible work of our staff and the courage of the individuals we serve by featuring stories from our staff, clients, and supporters. We hope to inspire attendees to become donors, volunteers, or community partners. We believe that together, we can change lives.
Why Should I Donate?
Guild meets unmet needs through an array of innovative and integrated services for those struggling with mental illness or long-term homelessness to help them achieve stability, gain confidence, and enhance their personal wellness. With your support, we’re able to help some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
History of the Ladder of Hope Events
The Ladder of Hope events began in 2005 with a single breakfast event in St. Paul meant to engage the community in the amazing work we do. Due to growing numbers of attendees, in the coming years, we added an additional event in Minneapolis and switched from breakfasts to luncheons. In 2019, we added a third luncheon in Lakeville to accommodate our growing group of supporters in the southwest metro area. We had over 1,357 attendees in 2019! In 2020, we made the tough decision to cancel our in-person events due to COVID-19 and replace them with our first-ever virtual event!
Frequently Asked Questions
When are the Ladder of Hope Events?
Guild has multiple Ladder of Hope events each winter in various locations around the Twin Cities metro. This year, we’re excited to host our first-ever virtual Ladder of Hope event!
Can I Invite Friends?
Of course! One great way to help and have fun with your friends is to be a Table Captain. Table Captains fill a table of 10 people (including yourself) who may be interested in investing in Guild’s mission. We recommend that you invite 12-13 people. This allows for those with schedule conflicts or last-minute schedule changes. If more than nine guests are able to attend, we will do our best to seat everyone at adjacent tables.
