What is the Goal of Bash4Guild?
The purpose of the Bash is twofold. First, it raises money for Guild’s lifesaving services, whose teams work directly with people experiencing mental illness and/or homelessness in our communities. Second, the Bash spreads the message that mental illness is nothing to be ashamed about. In fact, 1 in 25 Americans have a serious mental illness. It’s more common than most people think.
Guild’s services address the needs of our clients by providing intensive support that is person-centered and holistic. Our intervention services help people stabilize their health, secure employment, and/or find affordable housing while avoiding hospitalization and relapse.
History Of Bash4Guild
The Bash4Guild started in 2014 when founders Nik Larsen and Matt Bollero set out with a simple yet ambitious goal: to help young people with severe and persistent mental illness transition from adolescence to adulthood. How did they decide to help? By throwing a party called Bash4Guild.
In recent years, Bash4Guild has pivoted through a covid landscape and to accommodate more of our supporters. We’re thrilled to come together again this year with an end-of-summer bash at CHS Field followed by an afterparty dance in the Securian Clubhouse at CHS Field.
